Geos is based in La Spezia in Italy. They have specific expertise in geomechanical analysis, geology, earth sciences, and environmental databases. The company develops GIS applications in these specific fields and under different GIS environments such ESRI's ArcGIS (ArcPAD) and Intergraph's Geomedia (On Demand).

Geos has also developed a mobile application to log geological data in the field using GPS accurate positioning and handheld PC technologies. Coupled with Trimble® GPS devices, the application uses the international geological database standard for providing a common definition. The ability for the database to be translated to any language ensures this product is of interest to users in many countries worldwide.
