Boom switching and spray rate control system

The new AgGPS® EZ-Boom® 2010 automated application control system is designed to help growers cut input costs, ensure the accuracy of spray applications, and reduce stress during peak fieldwork periods.

Now, using GPS up to ten boom sections can be automatically turned on and off to avoid overspray and untreated gaps on end rows resulting in more precise application and less stress on the operator when navigating headlands, waterways and other demanding driving situations.

The EZ-Boom 2010 system can be added to the EZ-Guide® Plus lightbar, EZ-Guide 500 lightbar or FieldManager™ display.

EZ-Boom 2010 Demo

41 acres of wheat an hour with a 60-foot air seeder

Last year, Brett Serios decided to reduce labor headaches and squeeze more profit from every acre by downsizing his 10,000 acre winter wheat operation and doing more fieldwork himself.

Now equipped with an AgGPS EZ-Guide® 500 lightbar guidance system, AgGPS EZ-Steer® assisted steering system and AgGPS EZ-Boom® 2010 automated application control system, Serios notes these improved efficiencies:

More acres covered faster. No overlaps. His RoGator sprayer with 80-foot boom flies across fields at 13mph. He plants 41 acres of wheat an hour with a 60-foot air seeder.

Reduced spray and fuel use. "Based on past usage, I figure that as a result of EZ-Steer eliminating overlaps and EZ-Boom eliminating overspray on headlands, I'm stretching my labor, fuel, fertilizer and crop protection chemicals by about 25%," notes Serios.
